What’s the Gig?
You’ll be the go-to person for setting up and configuring the latest telecom equipment from brands like Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, and Cambium. You’ll troubleshoot, solve connectivity issues, and make sure everything is running smoothly for our clients. From installing routers and wireless systems to delivering exceptional client support, this role has it all.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Equipment Setup & Configuration: Install and configure top-tier telecom gear like routers, switches, and access points. Think Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, and Cambium!
- Client Support: Be the hero our clients need by resolving connectivity issues and keeping their systems running like clockwork.
- Troubleshooting: Get your hands dirty fixing problems with network connectivity and configurations. We love your ability to think on your feet and deliver quick, effective solutions.
- System Optimization: Configure and fine-tune systems to make sure they perform at their best, every time.
- Documentation: Keep everything organized. Maintain records of setups, troubleshooting steps, and configurations to keep the team in the loop.
- Progress Tracking: Keep tabs on support tasks, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolutions.
- Client Communication: Be the voice of calm during a storm. Communicate clearly, professionally, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the process.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Mikrotik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), Ubiquiti Certified Network Engineer (UCNE), Cambium Certified Professional – Bonus points if you’ve got them!
- Experience: At least 2 years in telecom support, with hands-on experience working with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, and Cambium gear.
Tech Skills:
- Mastery in configuring and troubleshooting telecom equipment.
- Solid understanding of networking (IP, routing, wireless).
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and techniques.
