We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Product Development Consultant with a minimum of five years’ proven experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully conceptualizing, developing, and launching financial products tailored to the South African healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams with the Client, including actuaries, underwriters, and marketing professionals, to develop and launch new financial products through the execution of the below responsibilities.
- Conduct market research to identify gaps in the South African healthcare industry and develop
new financial products that meet the needs of consumers and health care providers.
- Analyse financial data and industry trends to ensure that new products are competitive and profitable.
- Develop pricing strategies and collaborate in the development of underwriting guidelines for new products.
- Develop marketing strategies and materials to promote new products to consumers and distribution partners.
- Monitor the performance of new products and make recommendations for product enhancements or modifications as needed.
- Ensure that new products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide training and support to sales teams and distribution partners to ensure that they are knowledgeable about new products and can effectively sell them to consumers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies that may impact the development of new financial products for the South African healthcare sector.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of new product development initiatives
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- University degree in a relevant field, such as Healthcare, Financial Services including Financial Reporting or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a track record of successful implementation of product development and launches in the South African healthcare sector.
Minimum skills and further Experience required:
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling and data analysis.
- Knowledge of the South African healthcare industry, including regulatory requirements and market trends.
- Experience with health product pricing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and experience developing marketing materials for financial and/ or healthcare products.
- Experience with product training and support for sales teams and distribution partners.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the financial services and healthcare industry.
