Our clients who are pioneers in the IT Service industry are on the hunt for a seasoned IT Technician/ Specialist to join their teams in KZN, Gauteng and the Western Cape! Work with diverse teams and gain exposure to multiple clients and industries growing your skillset exponentially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Configure and maintain services in cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Office 365.
- Oversee server hardware, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Implement and manage backup solutions, execute recovery protocols, and conduct DR testing.
- Support and enhance security through firewall management, EDR, security software, policy development, and penetration testing.
- Troubleshoot, design, and implement network solutions.
- Provide technical insights on projects, including management, scoping, and documentation support.
- Setup, troubleshoot, and maintain hosted PABX and VoIP solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft Power Platform solutions to support automation and productivity enhancements.
Required Technical Skills:
- Server OS: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy
- 6+ Years of professional experience within the IT industry as a Network Engineer or similar role
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, Office 365
- Infrastructure: Server hardware, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Backup & DR: Backup and recovery solutions, DR testing
- IT Security: Firewalls, EDR, security policy development, penetration testing
- Networking: Troubleshooting, design, implementation
- Voice Systems: Hosted PABX setup and support
- Microsoft Power Platforms
Other Requirements:
- Driver’s License & Vehicle: Required for client visits (non-negotiable).
- Flexibility: Willingness to work after hours as needed and to travel to client sites.
- Travel & Overnight: Occasional overnight travel may be required.
